SE – 30,31/01/2026 – Day 1/2 (Friday) – PINEWOOD FUTURES FESTIVAL – PINEWOOD STUDIOS
We’ve been invited back to Pinewood Studios to help support the Futures Festival careers event along with the UK Garrison and Drodibuilders UK. Please read the following –
Each day you will be required to attend from 06:30 for check-in (breakfast at 07:30), and should not expect to leave until at least 18:00.
If you cannot attend for the full day, please do not sign up.
You do not need to attend both days.
Breaks will be organised at regular intervals throughout the day, with ample time to de-kit.
The day will involve being around the large prop areas to pose for photos for the tour groups as they come round. There can be a bit of wiating around (thats the film industry for you!) between tour groups. We’re here to bring something different and provide some colour to the studios.
We’ll be bringing the Tantive Wall and i will require 3-4 volunteers to help with set-up on the Thursday – a seperate sign-up for that will be created nearer the time.
Weather – Temprature
Generally we’ll be housed inside the studios and wont need to move around too much, however as the studio doors need to reman open it can get extremely cold in the studios. Anyone who attended last year will atest to that so please ensure you bring layers and can stay warm throughout the day as its no fun doing the long days tired and cold!
Due to the days running 3 sessions of visitors, each day we can accommodate up to 3 of each Hero character such as Vader, Chewie, Boba, Leia, Luke, Han etc.
As always this will be on a first come first served basis as per the sign-up.
(To maximise costumes it is suggested that Hero characters bring a secondary costume to the event should they wish)
No club photographers are required at present
Many of the exhibitors may have freebies and swag on their tables for the Future Festival visitors.
No members should help themselves to anything, please do not ask the teams to put stuff aside, if you want the freebies then unsign and go as a punter. This looks incredibly bad, especially when hassling the ILM and Disney team members. Be polite, if they offer you something please decline.
Food & snacks
Breakfast and lunch is supplied in the changing room but it is basic and so if you require either a lot (looking at Geoff,) or double portions (looking at me) you may wish to bring additional snacks and supplies.
Last year members ran up a sizeable tab with food vendors and coffee vendors who were booked for the other Exhibitors
Futures Festival have cateerers on site for the exhibtiors of the festival that does not include us and so please do not grab anything from any food truck on site. From memory there is a costa coffee next to the John Barry Theatre which is ok to buy from provided – its done at sensible time and not in costume.
Conformity & Consent:
All attendees are required to agree to an Image Release Form regarding Confidentiality and Image release as per last year (attached in comment below post). You are also required to complete the 2026 Pinewood consent form in order to attend. Anyone who has not submitted a completed response to this form will not be admitted to the studios for the event.
